Short version: TradeBot is an information and record-keeping tool. It is not financial advice, it never trades for you, and every decision — and its result — is yours. Please read the rest; by using the Service you agree to it.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By opening an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are allowed to bind them.
2. What the Service is
The Service screens publicly available market data against fixed, published rules, shows the stocks that match together with strategy parameters (entry price, risk level, exit rule, time limit), tracks those hypothetical trades in a journal, sends alerts you have turned on, and lets you record your own portfolio holdings. That is all it does.
3. Not financial advice
- Nothing on the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or an offer or solicitation of any kind. It is general information generated mechanically by rules; it is not tailored to your situation, finances, goals or risk tolerance.
- We are not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, financial planner or bank, and we are not registered as any of those with any regulator in any country.
- Before acting on anything you see here, consider your own circumstances and, if you need advice, get it from a licensed professional.
4. Risk
- Trading stocks and ETFs involves substantial risk, including the loss of all money invested. Some signals lose money; losing streaks happen.
- Back-tested and past results shown on the Service are hypothetical or historical. They do not include every real-world cost (commissions, slippage, taxes, unfilled orders, data errors) and are not a promise or indication of future results.
- Market data, prices and signals may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Data sources can fail. Do not rely on the Service as your only source of information.
5. Your decisions, your orders
The Service never connects to a brokerage, never places, changes or cancels an order, and never holds or moves money. Any order you place is placed by you, at your own broker, at your own discretion and risk. The journal on the Service records what the rules would have done on end-of-day data; your real fills and results may differ. Nothing here creates an adviser, fiduciary or client relationship between you and us, and we make no judgement about whether any signal suits your situation.
6. Market data and other providers
- Market data is sourced from Alpaca Markets and from Yahoo Finance via the open-source yfinance library. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Alpaca or Yahoo. Data may be delayed or inaccurate and is provided for personal, informational use only — not investment advice. Each provider's own terms apply to its data.
- Prices, company names, dividends and economic-calendar entries come from third-party sources (public market-data feeds, calendar feeds). We do not control them, cannot vouch for them, and they can be late, revised, missing or wrong. Anything built on them — signals, recorded results, portfolio values — inherits those faults.
- Links out to other sites (such as charting tools) are provided for convenience; those sites have their own terms and we are not responsible for them.
7. Delivery of alerts
Emails, in-app notices and phone notifications from the Android app are sent on a best-effort basis. Mail can be delayed, filtered as spam or lost; a scan can be missed; a data feed can be down. We cannot promise that any alert reaches you, or reaches you in time, and you should not build a plan that depends on it.
8. Accounts
- You can create an account yourself on the sign-up page, or we may create one for you. You must confirm your email address using the link we send before you can use the portal. Every account must carry accurate, current details.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately if you think it has been compromised.
- One person per account. Don't share, resell or scrape the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
9. Fees
The Service is currently free of charge. If we ever introduce paid plans we will tell account holders in advance and publish the prices, the renewal and cancellation rules and any refund window before anything is charged; nothing will be billed without your explicit sign-up. Until then there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.
10. Ending access
- We may suspend or close an account immediately if it breaks these terms, abuses the Service or puts other users or the system at risk.
- We may also close accounts for other reasons — for example long inactivity or winding the Service down — and will give reasonable notice where we can.
- When an account closes, your right to use the Service ends; the sections on risk, content, warranties, liability and indemnity continue to apply.
11. Acceptable use
Don't try to break in, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the Service; don't submit spam or malicious content through the forms; don't use automated tools against it without our written permission; don't use it for anything unlawful.
12. Your content
Portfolio data and messages you enter remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the Service for you. Your portfolio data is visible only to you when signed in; other members cannot see it. The operator may access it only to run and support the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't enter anything you don't have the right to share. Suggestions or feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
13. Our content
The Service, its rules, code, design, text and branding belong to Taste of Moksha or its licensors. You may use them only as part of using the Service normally. Ticker symbols and company names belong to their owners. "TradingView" links go to a third-party site with its own terms.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
The Service is provided as a personal project on a best-effort basis. It may be unavailable, slow, changed or discontinued at any time, with or without notice, and scans may be missed. We may change the signal rules and features whenever we think it improves the Service.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. For material changes we will tell signed-in users at least 7 days before they take effect, by email or a notice on the portal. Using the Service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, stop using it and ask us to close your account.
16. Electronic communications
You agree that we may send notices, alerts and legal communications to the email address on your account or by posting them on the portal, and that these count as being "in writing".
17. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted operation — to the fullest extent the law allows.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Taste of Moksha and anyone working on the Service will not be liable for any trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from or related to the Service or your use of it, even if advised of the possibility. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is zero).
19. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your trading decisions, your content, or your breach of these terms.
20. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If something goes wrong, contact us first — most issues can be sorted out by email. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you agree to their jurisdiction — unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be overridden, in which case those rights apply. Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose.
22. General
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
